Will Magnetic Lashes Damage My Natural Lashes or Skin?

Will Magnetic Lashes Damage My Natural Lashes or Skin?

The VeyesBeauty SnapGlam Series Magnetic Lashes are officially here!

We know many of you are curious about magnetic lashes but hesitant to try them out — mostly because of concerns about irritation, discomfort, or even damage to your natural lashes. That’s why we’re here to clear things up and help you understand just how gentle and user-friendly magnetic lashes — especially ours — really are.

️ “That’s not the kind of magnetic lashes I’ve heard about...”

First, let’s clarify: not all magnetic lashes are the same. There are two main types based on how they attach:

1. Magnetic Eyeliner-Based Lashes

This type uses a magnetic eyeliner applied directly to your skin. The lash band, embedded with tiny magnets, adheres to this liner.

Pro: No need for separate eyeliner — it's built into the lash process.

Con: These liners still contain adhesive-like ingredients, which may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. If the liner accidentally gets into your eyes, it may lead to further issues.

Con: Magnetic liners often contain iron particles that don’t offer strong hold, causing lashes to slip off easily.

Con: To secure the lashes, you need multiple layers of liner, which can result in a cakey look.

2. Magnet-to-Magnet Lash Strips

This method uses two magnetic lash strips to sandwich your natural lashes in between — no glue, no liquid liner.

Pro: 100% glue-free = zero chemical irritation

Pro: Application relies only on magnetism, reducing the risk of allergy

Among this type, there are two application technologies:

Small Magnet Dots: 3–5 small magnets on the lash band. These offer only limited hold and can make lashes look unnatural from certain angles due to the visible black dots.

VeyesBeauty's 3rd Gen Soft Magnet Technology (used in SnapGlam Series):

Ultra-fine soft magnetic strips

Seamless fit along the lash line

Comfortable to wear and virtually invisible

Some ophthalmologists even consider it safer than lash glue

️ “Don’t magnetic lashes hurt or pull out my real lashes?”

It’s a common fear — but a completely unnecessary one. VeyesBeauty magnetic lashes gently clamp your natural lashes between two soft magnetic bands. It doesn’t hurt during wear at all.

The only potential discomfort could occur during removal — but only if done incorrectly.

Correct way: Gently peel the lash band off from the base — no pain, no lash loss.

Wrong way: Pulling from the lash tips or with force might cause discomfort or damage — not because of the product, but because of rough handling.

️ “Aren’t magnetic lashes heavy?”

They sound heavy — but they’re not.

VeyesBeauty’s 3rd Gen Soft Magnet lashes use just a single ultra-thin strip to deliver 50% more magnetic power than older products. Each lash weighs only 0.04g — so light that you’ll forget you’re wearing them after a few minutes. You might feel them slightly at first, but that sensation disappears quickly as you get used to them.

️ “Magnetic lashes fall off easily, right?”

Not quite. The combination of lightweight fibers and strong magnetism keeps them secure for daily wear.

Still, they can come off if you: rub your eyes, splash water on your face, swim or shower with high water pressure. Normal wind or light air movement won’t dislodge them. But if improperly applied or exposed to multi-directional force (like rubbing), there is a chance of slippage.

We recommend avoiding direct contact with your eyes while wearing them — which also helps preserve your full makeup look.
