Guide for Beginners:
Part 2: How to Wear, Remove & Care

You've chosen your lashes.
You've finally managed to put them on.

Now comes the next set of questions:
Why are my corners lifting?
Why do my lashes look different on each eye?
Will lash glue damage my natural lashes?
And how do I take everything off without pulling out my natural lashes?

Don't worry. We've got you covered.

1. Why Do My Lash Corners Keep Lifting?

This is one of the most common problems beginners run into—and it's usually easy to fix.

Your lashes may lift because:
The strip is too long for your eye
    You used too many clusters
    You used too little adhesive
The adhesive was still too wet when you applied the lashes
The corners weren't pressed down properly
The lash band doesn't follow the shape of your eye
The lashes are exposed to too much friction or pressure during daily wear

If you're using strip lashes, try trimming the lash to fit your eye before applying it, and make sure the adhesive becomes tacky before placement.

If you're using clusters, avoid applying too many. Leave a small 2–3 mm gap at both the inner and outer corners. This not only looks more natural, but also helps reduce lifting.

Once the lashes are in place, gently press along the lash line to make sure everything is secure.

During daily wear, try to avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes. A little extra care can go a long way in keeping them in place.

2. Why Does One Eye Look Better Than the Other?

This is completely normal.
Your eyes aren't perfectly identical, and applying lashes can also be more difficult on the side opposite your dominant hand.
Instead of obsessing over perfect symmetry, focus on creating a balanced overall look.
When applying clusters, try to follow the same order and placement pattern on both eyes.
This can help keep the final result as consistent as possible.
If needed, you can make small adjustments to the placement or angle afterward.
A quick photo can also help you see the overall effect more clearly than looking closely in the mirror.

3. How Do I Make DIY Lashes Feel More Comfortable?

If your lashes feel heavy or distracting, the problem may not be your technique.
The lashes themselves matter.
Lightweight fibers and flexible bands can make a noticeable difference in how DIY lashes feel throughout the day.
Veyesbeauty designs its lashes with comfort in mind, using lightweight materials and Ultra-Fine Invisible Band Technology across its collections.
For example, the Eternal Series features TrueGrow™ Technology, with an ultra-fine, soft band and 3D Layering Technology designed to reduce the weight of the lashes and help them blend more naturally with your eyes.
The best lashes aren't the ones you constantly notice.
They're the ones you forget you're wearing.

4. Will Lash Glue Damage My Natural Lashes?

False lashes don't automatically mean damaged natural lashes.

When used correctly, a suitable amount of lash adhesive with a gentle, well-formulated formula should not damage your natural lashes.
The key is to apply the right amount, use a product that is suitable for your eyes, and remove your lashes properly.
When removing DIY lashes, use an appropriate removal product and be gentle.
Never forcefully pull or tug on the lashes.
Make sure the adhesive is fully removed and that no residue is left behind.

If you're especially concerned about maintaining the health of your natural lashes, you can also give them a short break after wearing DIY lashes continuously for 1–2 months.
During this break, consider switching to self-adhesive or magnetic lashes for several days to a week.
You can also incorporate a lash-conditioning serum into your regular beauty routine for extra care.

Veyesbeauty’s self-adhesive and magnetic lash collections are continuously upgraded with a variety of styles and easy-to-use designs, so you can find different lash options all in one place.

5. How Do I Remove DIY Lashes Safely?

Removing your lashes should be gentle—not a battle.

Step 1: Soften the adhesive
Use an eye-safe makeup remover or follow the removal instructions for your specific lash adhesive.

Step 2: Give it time
Let the adhesive soften before trying to remove the lash.

Step 3: Start from the outer corner
Gently lift the false lash and slowly work your way across the lash line.

Step 4: Stop if there's resistance
If the lash doesn't come away easily, don't pull harder. Apply more remover and wait. Your natural lashes should never have to pay the price for a five-minute makeup look.

6. Can I Wear DIY Lashes Every Day?

You can absolutely make DIY lashes part of your regular beauty routine—but comfort should always come first.

If your eyes feel irritated, itchy, painful, or unusually sensitive, remove the lashes.
If the irritation persists, stop using the product and give your eyes a break.

For everyday wear, lighter styles are often a better choice than extremely dense, dramatic lashes.

That's why having different lash styles and lash systems matters.

You don't need a full-glam lash every day.
Sometimes, a soft, lightweight style is all you need.
You can also combine long-wear and short-wear lashes in your routine.
For example, after wearing lash clusters for 1–2 months, take about a week-long break and switch to self-adhesive or magnetic lashes for daily wear.
This way, you can keep enjoying beautiful lashes without having to go through a period of going completely without them, while also giving your natural lashes and the delicate eye area a little extra time to rest.

With different lash systems available, you can choose what works best for your look, your routine, and your comfort.

7. What If I Don't Like Lash Glue?

You're not alone.

Some people simply don't enjoy working with traditional lash adhesive.

If you want a simpler experience, you can explore self-adhesive lashes, magnetic lashes or other alternative lash systems designed for easier application.

And if you're struggling with traditional strip lashes, don't immediately blame yourself.

Try a lighter lash, a more flexible band, or lash clusters.

Sometimes, the right lash makes the technique much easier.
