1. Classic Mapping: Gradual Length Increase

The ultimate goals of eye makeup are twofold: to enlarge the eyes and to enhance their depth. A good set of lashes should help achieve both.

By increasing lash density, you add dimension to the eye contour, while extending the outer corners creates the illusion of bigger, lifted eyes. That’s why the gradual increase method is the most common mapping style — starting with shorter lengths at the inner corner and gradually increasing toward the outer corner (e.g., 10mm–12mm–14mm–16mm). This creates a lifted, deep-set effect and works beautifully for all ages. It’s also the first technique beginners should master.

2. Peak Mapping: Longest in the Center

This method places shorter lashes at both the inner and outer corners while using the longest length at the center, forming a mountain peak shape (e.g., 10mm–12mm–14mm–16mm–14mm–12mm–10mm). It enlarges the eyes, adds depth, and creates a rounder, doll-like effect that feels youthful and playful.
Perfect for younger users or anyone who loves a sweet, lively makeup style.

3. Flat Mapping: Even Lengths

The flat method uses lashes of similar length throughout (e.g., 12mm–14mm–14mm–14mm), creating the look of a dense lash brush. This style enlarges the eyes while emphasizing volume, making it ideal for bold party looks, stage makeup, or deeper skin tones where prominent lashes beautifully balance the makeup.

4. Natural Mapping :A Hybrid of Peak & Gradual

This mapping mimics the eye’s natural curvature while still enlarging and elongating the eyes. Lashes gradually increase toward the center and peak near the outer third, before tapering slightly again at the corners (e.g., 10mm–12mm–14mm–16mm–14mm). This creates a softer, more natural effect while still lifting and opening the eyes.

5. Custom Creative Mapping

Your lashes, your rules! 💖 If you love experimenting, you can always use lash maps to create your own unique signature style:

  • Apply shorter Manga or VB-Bunny clusters as bottom lash for a reverse cat-eye effect.
  • After finishing one lash set, add 18mm VB-Flutter or Velvet Wing clusters on the outer corner for extreme elongation and sultry foxy vibes.
  • Double-layer VB-Muse or VB-Xtreme for a fluffy, voluminous effect full of mystery and allure.
